VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED IN SEPTEMBER
Komen Boise is seeking, friendly, out-going and fun-loving personalities to volunteer during the month of September at Alive After Five.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is the featured non-profit of the month during tips for charity at Alive After Five.
We need 25 volunteers for every Wednesday during the month.
If you are available any Wednesday in September, between the hours of 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM and you are 21 years of age or older, please email Jennifer at jjones@komenboise.org with "Tips for Charity" in the subject line.

Thank you Grantees!
A big thank you extended to all the Grantee Applications received last week. We’re working diligently on reviewing all applications to fund programs that fit our community need.
We look forward to announcing the next round of programs that received funding through our Granting program.
Remember, 75% of funds raised for the Boise Affiliate stay in our 19 county service area. The remaining 25% is sent to national for ground-breaking research grants to help find the cures.

The Boise Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® hopes to inspire and empower breast cancer survivors and supporters alike by providing an atmosphere of friendship while simultaneously equipping them with valuable knowledge and resources to aid them in their journey. We challenge you to partake in this exclusive and valuable event as an advocate for our cause on September 17th, 2011. 
As August is coming to a close, we at the Komen Boise Office are wondering: "Is it almost October already??" It seems only yesterday that we had our 13th Annual Race for the Cure! 
As many of you know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 
Thank you to all that purchased tickets to participate in the first annual Swing for the Cure Event with the Boise Hawks. Everyone that attended had a blast and we were super excited to see a lot of the fans wearing pink.
